Job Summary:

As an MRI Technologist at Yale New Haven Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical imaging services to our patients. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team of dedicated professionals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform a wide range of technical and professional duties utilizing complex MRI scanner equipment to produce high-quality images for subsequent interpretation by radiologists.

Follow routine protocols when imaging and refer to the doctor's exam requisition to ensure the correct exam is performed.

Provide quality and compassionate patient care to ensure cooperation, safety, and satisfaction.

Accurately document all pertinent patient information, including contrast amounts administered, contrast waste, patient lab values, and safety issues.

Participate in various teaching and learning opportunities to further your personal knowledge and professional growth.

Requirements:

Graduation from an A.M.A. approved Radiologic Technology program with special education in MRI Technology preferred.

Demonstrated technical skills to meet entry-level standards of routine Magnetic Resonance Imaging.

ARRT(R) certification required, (MR) preferred. CT State License Required. CPR Certification required.

Working Conditions:

The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. They are required to stand, sit, and walk. They may occasionally move and/or lift up to 40 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. They may be regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of radiation. They are frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.
