POSITION SUMMARY:

WR Systems is seeking a qualified Field Service Technician to execute the installation, testing, calibration, and repair of signal intelligence systems on naval vessels.

This role involves conducting pre-installation assessments, updating documentation, providing systems certification assistance, and training naval personnel on the operation and maintenance of signal intelligence equipment.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Installation of shipboard equipment: updating test, user, and certification documentation.
  • Providing shipboard systems certification support.
  • Monitoring deliverables.
  • Conducting regression testing, equipment evaluation, and repair assistance.
  • Offering RDT&E transition support, configuration management, risk management, process development, workflow management, functional area reporting and tracking, task management, while ensuring adherence to safety regulations, security protocols, and quality standards.

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in supporting operation and systems analysis of government or commercial electronic systems or inertial navigation equipment, including equipment testing and field data evaluation.
  • At least six (6) years of experience as a technician in related electronics fields, demonstrating advanced operation and systems analysis of government or commercial electronic systems or inertial navigation equipment.
  • Expertise in electronics, telecommunications, and computer systems, with a solid understanding of radio frequency signal processing.
  • Strong diagnostic skills to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues.
