Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Partner to join our team at Mattr. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in supporting the execution of human resource plans and objectives for our site location, selected corporate business areas, and one or two US production locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Strategic HR Support: Collaborate with management teams to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Recruitment and Selection: Provide coaching and support to management with regard to recruitment and selection for both hourly and salaried staff.
  • Employee Relations: Advise, consult, and/or coach in employee relations matters, including performance management, workplace investigations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Compensation and Benefits: Provide guidance and support with regard to compensation decisions in alignment with company guidelines.
  • Employee Development: Develop and implement employee development plans, including training and coaching programs.
  • Workforce Planning: Provide consultative advice and guidance to business units in the areas of workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development.
  • Special Projects: Lead and/or assist with special projects and initiatives as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or other related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum 4 years experience in an HR generalist profile with exposure to hourly and salaried recruiting.
  • Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work independently and develop positive working relationships with customers and coworkers.
  • Travel: Ability to travel within North America up to 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a Union/Manufacturing/Operations Environment: Previous experience working in a union/ manufacturing/operations environment is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Employment Legislation: Working knowledge of the US Fair Labor Standards Act, South Carolina, Maryland, and Iowa employment-related legislation.
  • HR Management System: Familiarity with Human Resources Management System (preferably UltiPro) and well-versed with Microsoft Office.
  • Bilingual Fluency: Bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) is considered an asset for this position.
