Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor/Housekeeper to join our team at Comfort Inn Blythewood - North Columbia. This is a full-time position that requires a strong leader to oversee the housekeeping department and ensure that our guests receive exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Implement strategies to improve the efficiency and overall function of the housekeeping department.
  • Staff Training and Development: Provide training to new staff members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Scheduling and Task Management: Create schedules and instruct and assign tasks to housekeeping staff to ensure that all areas of the hotel are clean and well-maintained.
  • Equipment and Supply Management: Manage equipment and cleaning supplies to ensure that they are in good working order and that there is always a sufficient stock on hand.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our guests by ensuring that their rooms are clean and well-maintained.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Corridor and Guest Area Cleaning: Responsible for the cleaning of corridors, guest areas, service areas, and linen closets.
  • Trash and Linen Management: Empty housekeepers' trash and linen bags, deposit linen down the chute, and carry trash to a dumpster.
  • Public Area Cleaning: Vacuum corridors and/or guestrooms, turn mattresses as directed by management, and stock supplies needed for linen closets.
  • Laundry Management:
    • Sorts linens for washer.
    • Removes stains from badly soiled linen.
    • Operates washers and dryers properly.
    • Folds all linens to hotel standards.
    • Washes banquet and kitchen laundry.
    • Washes bedspreads, bed pads, and blankets per instructions.
  • Grounds Maintenance: Maintains outside grounds daily.
  • Team Support: Assists other housekeepers in other areas when laundry is slow or work is caught up.
  • Adherence to Company Policies: Adheres to all company policies & procedures & brand standards.
