Job Summary

The Cloud Operations Engineer II is a critical role within Stifel Financial Corp., responsible for overseeing the management, monitoring, and optimization of cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and services. This position ensures the seamless functioning of cloud environments by handling tasks such as resource provisioning, configuration management, deployment, automation, and incident response.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Management: Implement standardized offerings to facilitate the successful deployment of stacks, including continuous build, test, integration, and deployment of platforms and pipelines, as well as automated testing frameworks for applications and infrastructure.
  • Operational Health: Implement standardized offerings to ensure the operational health of stacks, including metrics collection, aggregation, and visualization, log collection, aggregation, and correlation, event management and routing, inventory, capacity, and billing/tag management, and clean up and decommissioning of unused or uncompliant resources.
  • Collaboration and Innovation: Pair with application teams to implement continuous testing and delivery practices, standard practices that ensure operational health and excellence, and lead the collection of metrics and generation of relevant reporting mechanisms.
Requirements
  • Cloud Expertise: Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and experience with scripting and automation tools.
  • Technical Foundation: Solid foundation in IT infrastructure, networking, and cloud technologies.
  • Automation and Problem-Solving: Expertise in cloud platforms, understanding of automation tools, and strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Education and Experience: Minimum Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, and 5+ years of experience working with a public cloud infrastructure.
  • Certifications and Licenses: AWS Certifications (Architect, SysOps, DevOps) is preferred.
