Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Personal Caregiver and Companion to provide exceptional care and support to our clients in their residences.

The ideal candidate will have a compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

This role involves performing various housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and companionship activities, as well as assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, feeding, and mobility assistance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment, preparing meals and snacks according to client instructions, and providing companionship through accompaniment on walks, trips to social/recreational activities, and assistance with hobbies.

The Personal Caregiver and Companion will also be responsible for written documentation of services provided and will not contact physicians directly but rather refer all questions or reports to the supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform various housekeeping tasks, including cleaning bathrooms, laundry, and changing bed linens
  • Prepare meals and snacks according to client/family and supervisor's instructions
  • Provide companionship through accompaniment on walks, trips to social/recreational activities, and assistance with hobbies
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, feeding, and mobility assistance
  • Document services provided in writing

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred
  • Successful completion of a written Competency Evaluation
  • Sympathetic attitude toward the care of the sick and ability to deal effectively with job demands
  • Read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job
  • Valid driver's license and use of an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation

Working Conditions/Environment:

This role requires working primarily in clients' places of residence, with occasional travel required. Shift times and days vary with client needs.

We offer a competitive salary of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
