Key Responsibilities

  • Capture high-quality MRI images of patients.
  • Adhere to radiation safety protocols and operate MRI machinery safely, ensuring all patients are screened for contraindications.
  • Exhibit proficiency in necessary computer operations.
  • Provide patient care with professionalism and attentiveness to their conditions.
  • Prepare the MRI scanner and conduct quality control assessments.
  • Administer contrast agents as required.
  • Review each examination for technical precision and confirm anatomical orientation on all images.
  • Maintain educational qualifications as mandated.
  • Prepare patients and gather relevant information for procedures.
  • Utilize electronic information systems effectively.
  • Participate in departmental quality assurance initiatives and maintain an organized workspace.
  • Ensure patient safety, including routine cleaning of the MRI equipment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT) and ARRT (MR) certification.
  • Completion of a vocational program in radiography.
