Job Responsibilities

The Front of House Manager at Tomato Bar is responsible for managing all front of house operations on a shift-by-shift basis. This includes overseeing, directing, and coordinating the planning, organizing, training of the FOH team to achieve key objectives, such as service quality, food quality, sales, labor costs, food costs, employee retention, cleanliness, and sanitation.

The position requires full-time availability, including night, weekends, and some holidays. As a leader, you'll need to possess strong leadership qualities, with an emphasis on being a positive motivator and leader. You'll also need to work effectively and efficiently within a management team to create a positive operational culture.

This position requires a 90-day orientation and training period. During this time, we'll evaluate your ability as a leader and manager, and you'll have the opportunity to evaluate the position and your comfort level with it.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • Indiana Alcohol Serving Permit
  • Previous experience in a restaurant required
  • Previous management experience preferred
  • Be consistently friendly when communicating with guests and team
  • Strong communicator in-person
  • Restaurant point-of-sale system experience preferred
  • Highly organized with a strong ability to multi-task
  • Can function well in a fast-paced environment
  • Existing knowledge of food safety procedures preferred, but not required
