About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer II to join our Microsoft Defender engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and delivering cloud solutions to meet the scale and complexity of our cloud security products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable and highly reliable cloud services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver services in complex cloud environments
  • Investigate and resolve pre-production and production issues
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 support for our services
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • 2+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
  • Experience with CI/CD concepts and Git
  • Understanding of Windows and Linux systems
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and changing environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Kubernetes and satellite technologies
  • Knowledge of Azure DevOps and GitHub tooling
  • Proficient in at least one scripting language
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
