Job Title: Associate Graphic Designer

The Associate Graphic Designer will play a key role in supporting the Developing Brain Institute's (DBI) internal and external communications initiatives. This includes planning and executing a variety of design projects from conceptualization to completion, working closely with the Science and Communications Manager to develop and maintain the DBI website, and ensuring all content complies with copyright laws and best practices for accessibility and usability.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in creating engaging visuals to promote DBI in various formats, including videos, animations, audio files, and images.
  • Work on projects prioritized by the DBI Director & Chief, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Develop and maintain the DBI website, ensuring all content is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible.
  • Perform other multimedia duties within DBI, as needed, and undertake additional assignments delegated by the DBI Director & Chief.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia Art, or a similar field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1 year of experience in graphic design, with proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
  • Working knowledge of Blender, Maya, and Zbrush, as well as basic HTML and web design principles.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects, and respond to feedback in a timely manner.
Organizational Accountabilities:
  • Anticipate and respond to customer needs, following up until needs are met.
  • Demonstrate collaborative and respectful behavior, partnering with team members to achieve goals.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to change.
  • Identify opportunities to improve clinical and administrative processes, making appropriate decisions using sound judgment.
