Job Title: Capping Machine Operator - Night Shift

We are seeking a skilled Capping Machine Operator to join our team on a night shift basis.

Job Summary:

The Capping Machine Operator will be responsible for operating the capping machine, conveyor, syrup pump, feed-in line, brine conveyor, washer conveyor, brine pump, and hand tools. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of mechanical systems and be able to read, write, and speak English.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate the capping machine, conveyor, syrup pump, feed-in line, brine conveyor, washer conveyor, brine pump, and hand tools.
  • Upright overturned jars and hand-fill with product or liquid as needed.
  • Free jammed jars on line or jammed caps in chute.
  • Remove jars that do not conform to company specifications.
  • Notify Pasteurizer Operator of product change, lunch, break, or end of shift.
  • Complete shift downtime report from briner conveyor to label machine.
  • Monitor product to ensure adherence to food safety and quality critical limits.
  • Keep work space clean and tidy.
  • Follow safety rules and company policies.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Additional trades training a strong plus.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Required math skills include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions.
Work Environment:

Works inside, subject to some seasonal temperature variations and wetting from job tasks. Hearing protection required due to machinery noise. Head cover, beard cover, and gloves required.
