Practical Nurse Specialist

- As a Practical Nurse Specialist, you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, ensuring the delivery of safe, patient-centered care tailored to various age groups, in accordance with the regulations set forth by the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
- DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW
- The Wound Care Department at Samaritan Health Services focuses on the management of both acute and chronic wounds, which may arise from conditions such as diabetes, surgical procedures, or injuries. Our approach is guided by physician oversight and emphasizes comprehensive care in wound, ostomy, and continence management, alongside advanced treatments like hyperbaric therapy.
- QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
- Possession of a current, unrestricted LPN license in Oregon is mandatory.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers is required.
- Experience in Wound Care:
- Prior experience in a clinical environment, particularly in wound care, is highly preferred.
