Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Trinity Health. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing MRI procedures, adhering to MRI safety protocols, and providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MRI procedures, including preparing patients, operating MRI equipment, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Adhere to MRI safety protocols, including ensuring patient safety and minimizing exposure to radiation.
  • Provide exceptional patient care, including communicating effectively with patients, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient workflow.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest MRI technology and techniques, attending training and education sessions as needed.

Requirements:

  • License to practice Radiologic Technology from NYS Department of Health with a current registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • MR registry required within two years of employment.
  • Injection license required.
  • Experience preferable, but we will train a new graduate of an approved Radiologic Technologist Program.
  • GE experience highly recommended.

Physical Requirements:

May require standing for 1-4 hours or sitting 1-7.5 hours at a time. May require lifting up to 50 pounds. Heavy carrying up to 50 pounds and pulling, pushing, repeated bending, manual dexterity, and reaching above shoulder level are also required. Requires assisting patients on and off exam tables and positioning of patient.

Critical Demands:

Ability to work with minimal supervision and to set own priorities if necessary. Able to work effectively with patients of all ages and in all types of medical situations.

Occupational Hazards:

Potential exposure to hazardous and toxic substances and infectious patients. Is responsible for adhering to standards of MR safety and protection as established by regulatory bodies and monitored by the Magnetic Resonance Safety Officer (MRSO). Is responsible to use universal precautions.

Pay and Benefits:

Pay rate: $48.00. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
