Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Fleet Mechanic to join our team at US Foods, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and lift gates. This role involves performing preventative maintenance, documenting repair orders, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

This position requires strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience as a commercial diesel mechanic and demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.

As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be expected to work independently and collaboratively with others to ensure the smooth operation of our fleet. Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostic competency: The ability to identify and resolve complex issues related to diesel equipment is essential for this role.

Additional Requirements

We require all candidates to have at least three years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic. Alternatively, two years of experience with either Diesel Mechanic Certification or TK/Carrier Refrigeration Certification may also be considered. Prior experience in administering a PM program and possessing CDL A and DOT certification are preferred but not required.
