Position Summary:
We are in search of a committed Plant Operations Technician (Maintenance Technician) to assist the Plant Operations Director in maintaining the community facility for residents, staff, and visitors. Responsibilities encompass lawn care, painting, remodeling, plumbing, and general building upkeep. The ideal candidate should possess a solid understanding of various maintenance disciplines and demonstrate the ability to work independently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the community's philosophy aimed at enhancing residents' quality of care and life.
- Comply with community policies and procedures.
- Participate in facility meetings and training programs as required.
- Follow infection control protocols.
- Respect residents' rights, including privacy and dignity.
- Promote positive interactions with residents, families, and guests.
- Ensure adherence to safety policies to maintain resident safety.
- Understand and implement the community's Emergency Preparedness plans.
- Maintain, repair, and service all facility equipment and furnishings as necessary.
- Assist with resident transportation as needed.
- Safely operate machinery and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of all flooring materials.
- Support laundry and housekeeping departments as required.
- Be available for on-call duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Experience in basic plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and carpentry skills is preferred.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is necessary, with the ability to obtain a class D Chauffeur's license or state-required transport license.
