Job Overview

Ovation Rehabilitation Services, LLC is currently seeking a skilled and dedicated SLP Therapist to join our team.

About the Role

This position requires a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology with a Certificate of Clinical Competency or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year. The ideal candidate will have current state licensure or be license eligible, with regular attendance being a must.

Responsibilities

The SLP Therapist will provide speech therapy services to residents, including assessment, treatment, program planning, and implementation. This role involves conducting screenings at regular intervals, evaluating residents to obtain necessary data, interpreting and communicating evaluation findings, establishing individual resident schedules, and developing treatment plans by identifying problem lists, goals, and methods to achieve identified goals.

The successful candidate will coordinate treatment plans with residents, family, and other team members, implement and conduct treatment as outlined, monitor resident responses, adapt treatment as needed, document results, and participate in discharge planning. Additionally, this role includes supervising students and volunteers, reviewing the quality and appropriateness of services delivered, participating in resident, family, and staff education, and providing in-service education to members of the care team and education to the community.

The SLP Therapist will also record billable treatment times according to department procedures, submit weekly/monthly statistics to the regional office, maintain a safe and clean work area, adhere to facility/company safety standards, comply with infection control, Universal Precautions, and OSHA standards, and consistently demonstrate sound judgment in evaluating, planning, implementing, and following up on resident therapy programs.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • A Certificate of Clinical Competency or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

This position is classified as light under the Department of Labor classification, requiring the ability to exert 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 pounds frequently. You will regularly stand, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, or crouch, use hands to manipulate tools and equipment, reach with hands and arms, balance, lift, and perform medium to maximum transfer assists with residents.

This role is a Category 1 for exposure determination under the OSHA Regulations regarding the Standard on Occupational Exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens, requiring the use of protective equipment and measures.

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $70,000-$90,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
