SUMMARY

ASM Global, a leader in the management of public assembly venues, is seeking a dedicated VIP Server. This role involves delivering high-quality food and beverage services to clients while assisting in the coordination and execution of events. The VIP Server will engage with clients and collaborate with facility personnel to ensure all event requirements are met effectively.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Deliver exceptional and attentive food and beverage service to guests.
  • Assist in the preparation and setup of events.
  • Address any guest concerns or complaints by communicating with the Food and Beverage Manager.
  • Provide guidance and support to temporary staff assigned to events.
  • Engage in various side tasks, including cleaning and restocking service items, collecting banquet equipment, and preparing garnishes and beverages.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must possess TABC and Texas Food Handlers certifications.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in food service or restaurant settings is required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to collaborate with other staff members.
  • Results-driven individual capable of meeting budgetary goals.
  • Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong service focus.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Effective communication skills for engaging with groups of customers.
  • Ability to work in various environmental conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with clients, employees, and other stakeholders.
  • Follow both oral and written instructions and communicate effectively.
  • Organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, working effectively under pressure.
  • Remain adaptable and responsive to changing situations.
WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Work environment may include exposure to noise, heat, temperature changes, and kitchen elements.
  • Willingness to work additional hours as needed based on workload and staffing requirements.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Moderate physical effort is required, including standing, carrying, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Employees must be able to move throughout the facility and stand for extended periods during events.
  • This position may require work in both indoor and outdoor settings, depending on event needs.
