We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse-Operating Room to join our team at Northwell Health.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications.

This role involves providing high-quality patient care in an age-specific plan of care using the nursing process. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough patient interviews, explaining policies and procedures, and reviewing patient charts accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess gastrointestinal, cardiovascular, respiratory, renal, and neurological health status, determining mobility, sensory deficits, prostheses use, and skin condition.
  • Communicate and document patient's physiologic health status and plan of care.
  • Determine coping mechanisms, knowledge levels, and ability to comprehend, identifying cultural/ethnic requirements to reduce anxiety.
  • Develop patient outcome statements, establish individualized patient goals, and coordinate cost-effective use of supplies, equipment, and medication.

Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred; must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain a BSN Degree within five years of job entry date.
  • Current License to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
  • 2-3 years Operating room experience required.
