Job Summary
MRI Technologists play a critical role in producing high-quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes. At Northwell Health, we are seeking skilled professionals to join our team as MRI Technologists.

About the Role
This position is responsible for operating Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment, collaborating with clinicians, and maintaining required documentation. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of technical experience and possess specialized certifications such as MRI and Cat Scan Certifications.

Key Responsibilities
* Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes
* Collaborate with clinicians to ensure appropriateness of studies
* Maintain required documentation
* Perform thorough screening of patients prior to procedure
* Ensure no metal objects accompany patient into procedure room
* Prepare patient for exam by placing and positioning patient on exam table within the gantry
* Enter patient history data and other pertinent information obtained from a requisition completed by the Radiologist
* Perform MRI procedures, including abdominal, thoracic, neurological exams, extremities, sub-periosteal implant planning, radiation therapy treatment planning, biopsies etc.
* Recognize and promptly report patient's motor abnormalities, including fainting, discoloration, contrast reactions etc., to the Radiologist

Qualifications
* Vocational or Technical school Diploma required
* Current License to practice as a Radiologist in New York State required
* Current ARRT Radiology registration required, plus specialized certifications as needed: MRI and Cat Scan Certifications
* 1-3 years of technical experience, required

Compensation
The salary range for this position is $57.13-$67.03 per hour, reflecting the importance of this role in delivering high-quality patient care. We strive to provide competitive compensation packages that reflect market rates and recognize the value of our employees' skills and expertise.
