Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the PACU department at St. Anthony Summit Hospital. As a Seasonal Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate, communicate, and collaborate with the healthcare team and patients/families to identify and meet physical, emotional, and spiritual needs.
  • Promote optimal health, well-being, and safety of patients through the use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
Day-to-Day Duties

Recover all cases, both Phase I and II. Pre-Op and PACU share the same space, with 8 bays/rooms total. RNs will cover both pre-op and PACU areas with 3-4 total on each shift. Staff is expected to float between Pre-Op/PACU. RNs in pre-op/PACU are responsible for pre-op calls, PATs, transports, in addition to the clinical aspects of pre-op and PACU care.

Qualifications
  • RN License required; current state nursing licenses or RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact.
  • Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing required; Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association required.
  • ACLS, PALS, NIHSS from the American Heart Association required within 6 months of hire.
  • Previous PACU experience or strong clinical background required.
  • Previous PACU/ICU/ED experience required.
  • Two years experience preferred.
  • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty.
