Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Invasive Cardiac Technologist to join our team at UCHealth. As a key member of our cardiovascular team, you will be responsible for performing imaging and interventional procedures to diagnose and treat cardiovascular conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, draping and positioning the patient, preparing procedural/testing sites and administering contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.
  • Assist physician with performing diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures, including cardiac catheterizations.
  • Perform imaging procedures including echocardiography and fluoroscopy.
  • Analyze results and take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues.
  • Monitor patient condition continually and report/respond to changes in status as appropriate.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies. Select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters.
  • Implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions as necessary.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or ARRT licensure or certification.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
