POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Housekeeping Attendant is tasked with the meticulous cleaning of assigned guest accommodations, ensuring adherence to the highest service standards. This role involves reporting any maintenance issues promptly and addressing guest inquiries and requests with professionalism and efficiency.

50% Execute cleaning of rooms/suites as assigned, which includes: making beds, sanitizing bathrooms, dusting surfaces, vacuuming, and washing windows/tracks. Ensure rooms are reported as clean and ready for occupancy. Communicate maintenance issues to uphold hotel standards.

10% Remove soiled linens/towels and dispose of used amenities from room/suite.

10% Restock linens and guest amenities as necessary.

10% Check and replenish supplies on the room attendant cart as needed.

5% Welcome guests with a friendly and sincere acknowledgment.

5% Address special requests from guests, such as providing additional amenities or accommodating service time requests.

SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS:

In addition to the essential functions, this position may require performing a combination of the following supportive tasks, with the percentage of time allocated to each determined by the supervisor based on company needs:

Deliver exceptional customer service to guests, including information about hotel amenities, activities, and local attractions.Assist colleagues as requested.

SAFETY STANDARDS:

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be necessary when performing tasks that pose potential health or safety risks. The hotel will provide the required PPE, and associates will receive training on its proper use and maintenance. It is the employee's responsibility to report any defective, damaged, or lost PPE or equipment that does not fit properly to their Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to demonstrate that they can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:

Ability to arrive at work punctually and as scheduled.Physically capable of moving large items such as carts and bags of linen.Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners and spray bottles.Capability to learn and adhere to cleanliness standards.Ability to follow safety procedures and recognize emergency situations.Effective communication skills in English with guests and staff as necessary.Ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move materials weighing up to 50 lbs.Ability to navigate throughout the building, bend, stoop, and reach continuously for up to an 8-hour shift.

EDUCATION:

High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory.

EXPERIENCE:

6 months to 1 year of experience in housekeeping or janitorial services preferred.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES:

No special licenses or certificates required.

GROOMING STANDARDS:

All employees must maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance. Specific uniform guidelines will be provided during the orientation process.

OTHER:

Additional language skills are strongly preferred.
