About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at MEB Management Services. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our properties by performing routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work.
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring minimal disruption to residents and staff.
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify potential issues and perform preventative maintenance.
  • Assist with turnkey operations, preparing vacant units for rent by performing various repairs and accurately posting status of work orders.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of maintenance activities.
  • Comply with all safety standards, including OSHA regulations, and report any discrepancies to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; specialized vocational training or certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing preferred.
  • At least 1 year of experience in building and facility maintenance, with a strong background in handyman work, home repairs, and renovations.
  • Licensing and trade certification in HVAC, electrical wiring, or plumbing highly desired.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work harmoniously with staff, vendors, contractors, and residents.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
  • Valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation required.
  • Background and credit check, pre-employment drug screening, and employment verification required.
