Human Resources Generalist

The Human Resources Generalist will provide administrative support to the human resource function, including record-keeping, file maintenance, and HRIS entry. This role will also ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, company policy, and practices.
Key Responsibilities
• Reviews resumes and schedules interviews for all locations
• Tracks status of candidates in HRIS and responds with follow-up to candidates at the end of the recruiting process
• Conducts on-boarding and interviews at all Foster Fuels' facilities according to the position location
• Provides assistance by answering employee requests and questions
• Researches and writes job descriptions and employee requisitions
• Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation with E-Verify, and maintains I-9 files
• Submits new-employee background checks and drug screens
• Schedules meetings as requested by the VP of HR
• Prepares new employee files and files documents into appropriate employee files
• Establishes relationships with trade schools and truck driving schools for recruiting
• Assists with providing research for policies, training, strategic planning, and other human resource issues
• Provides support on projects and implementations as assigned
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, and/or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 1-3 years HR experience in a corporate environment including recruiting, on-boarding, and compliance
• Familiar and knowledgeable with legal and legislative requirements of Human Resources
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Experience with HRIS/TAQ software and system implementations
• SHRM-CP credential preferred
