Main Responsibilities

The HR Generalist will partner with the DSE Senior HR Business Partner to ensure that DSE-specific HR tasks related to onboarding & orientation, performance management, employee relations, and the union relationship are completed appropriately.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in the Human Resources field.
  • Experience in a Union environment a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and local regulations governing employment.
  • Understanding of HR best practices.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely orally and in writing with a diverse group of employees.
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships within all areas of the company.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
  • Proven ability to work in a sensitive and confidential department.
  • Demonstrate flexibility, adaptability to change, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrate a customer service approach, with a high level of professionalism, discretion, and respect for others.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
