Key Responsibilities- The technologist employs their expertise in nuclear medicine to generate diagnostic images, prioritizing patient safety and comfort throughout the process.
- In compliance with the New York State Department of Health regulations, the technologist diligently implements and upholds radiation safety protocols.
- Continuous professional development is encouraged, as technologists are expected to stay informed about advancements in technology and share knowledge with peers.
- Preparation and administration of radiopharmaceuticals and contrast agents are essential duties of this role.
- Patient positioning and operation of nuclear medicine imaging devices are critical tasks performed by the technologist.
- Responsibilities also include maintaining radiation safety standards, conducting quality control procedures, and ensuring proper disposal of radioactive materials while monitoring work environments to comply with state regulations.
- Experience with Epic software is mandatory.
The standard working hours for this position are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with no on-call duties required.
