Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner for Consult Service

We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Silver Oaks Behavioral Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will work closely with psychiatrists, registered nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, diagnose, and treat mental illness in a wide range of patients admitted to Silver Cross Hospital for acute medical illness.
- Collaborate closely with supervising psychiatrist and work as a physician extender.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, including hospitalists, RNs, mental health crisis teams, medical social workers, and patient family members.
- Review laboratory and diagnostic test results.
- Work closely with psychiatric social workers to assist with disposition and treatment planning.
- Completion of a Master's Program (Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner) from an accredited nursing school.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in the State of Illinois.
- Minimum of three (3) years of post-graduate clinical experience as a psychiatric nurse practitioner in a hospital setting.
- Specific experience in consult-liaison psychiatry preferred.
- Competitive salary range of $150,000.00 annually.
