Job Title: Overnight Counselor

Concern Housing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Overnight Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents.

Job Summary:

The Overnight Counselor will be responsible for monitoring and supervising residents during the overnight hours, providing support and guidance as needed. This is a unique opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and supervise residents during overnight hours, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Provide counseling and support to residents as needed, redirecting to regular staff when appropriate.
  • Participate in crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
  • Conduct weekly medication counts and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Perform hourly walk-thrus of the site during shift.
  • Unlock kitchen and set out food for breakfast.
  • Participate in morning medication monitoring as needed.
  • Prompt clients needing to wake early.
  • Attend site's monthly staff meetings and participate in all required trainings.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent, along with at least two years of experience in a similar role. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
