Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Shopper to join our team at Hannaford To Go. As a Shopper, you will represent the customer's interests, providing an exceptional shopping experience that meets or exceeds their expectations. Your role will involve matching items from customers' online shopping lists, substituting requested items, and assisting with order pickup. You will also be responsible for ensuring all merchandise is handled and stored according to company policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Observe and follow all company policies and established procedures.
  • Maintain a neat, well-groomed personal appearance.
  • Ensure that return-to-stock items are handled promptly and in an orderly manner, giving immediate attention to refrigerated and perishable items.
  • Support and comply with all company safety standards.
  • Communicate any needed equipment repairs or maintenance work.
  • Keep your work area free from debris and safety hazards.
  • Be knowledgeable about and able to recognize the various types of produce merchandise carried in the store, including differences between varieties of similar classes of products.
  • Record price discrepancies and/or 'not on file' items encountered on the electronic point-of-sale terminal.
  • Secure Shopping Devices and accessories when leaving them unattended; protect company assets at all times.
  • Assist the Expeditor with transporting and loading orders to customers' vehicles as needed.
Qualifications
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the technical requirements for the Hannaford To Go Service.
Physical Requirements

This role requires:

  • Performing repetitive hand and arm motions while standing/walking during the majority of the shift.
  • Able to wear the shopping device hands-free while shopping orders.
  • Bending and lifting products weighing up to 15 pounds continuously, 25 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Pushing or pulling up to 75 pounds on occasion.
  • Working in and out of inclement weather when necessary.
  • Gathering up to five shopping carts and pushing them to designated areas.
  • Handling a variety of substances associated with cleaning materials, packaging materials, fresh fruits, vegetables, shellfish, house plants/flowers, and household cleaners.
  • Sufficient visual acuity to read the shopping device display screen as well as check identification cards, checks, invoices, and other written documents.
Estimated Salary Range

$15.00 - $19.65 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience.
