RN ROLE SUMMARY

Responsible for planning and administering nursing care to residents, adhering to current company, federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations to ensure the highest quality of care and respect for residents' dignity at all times.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Exemplifies commitment to the organization's mission, values, and ethical standards.
  • Assesses and monitors residents' health status, providing professional nursing care in alignment with care plans and physician directives.
  • Contributes to the development and assessment of care standards in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.
  • Initiates emergency interventions as necessary.
  • Facilitates resident admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring all documentation complies with regulations and company policies.
  • Conducts assessments to identify changes in residents' physical or mental health (e.g., variations in lab results, vital signs, mental status).
  • Ensures comprehensive nursing histories are documented in medical records for all residents.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-3 years of experience in providing direct care to multiple patients/residents preferred; experience in a Skilled Nursing environment is advantageous.
  • Nursing degree from an accredited institution or graduation from an approved RN program is required.
  • Must hold a current, unencumbered RN license in Colorado.
  • Current CPR certification is mandatory.
  • Maintains proficiency in the setup, maintenance, and operation of medical equipment, including monitors and infusion devices.
