Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Engineer to join our team at Electric Materials Co. As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance activities within our manufacturing or production environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and Implement Quality Control Plans: Create and implement quality control plans, procedures, and other practices for manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality standards are met and maintained.
  2. Provide Technical Support: Provide technical support on inspections and quality tests on incoming materials, in-process production, and finished products.
  3. Analyze and Interpret Data: Analyze and interpret statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and establish quality objectives.
  4. Identify and Implement Corrective Actions: Identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective actions in collaboration with production, engineering, and other teams.
  5. Monitor Compliance: Monitor compliance with quality standards and procedures, including ISO, nuclear, and other standards and regulatory requirements.
  6. Document and Report Quality Assurance Activities: Document and report quality assurance activities, test results, and process nonconformances through the DMR and RMA systems.
  7. Train and Support Production Personnel: Train and support production personnel in quality control procedures and best practices.
  8. Participate in Quality Audits: Participate in internal and external quality audits.
  9. Collaborate with Suppliers and Customers: Collaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve quality issues and improve overall product quality.
  10. Oversee Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility Studies: Oversee gage repeatability and reproducibility studies.
  11. Stay Updated on Industry Standards: Stay updated on industry standards and developments in quality assurance techniques.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Associates Degree in Engineering or Related Field
  • Proven Experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Control
  • Strong Understanding of Quality Control Standards and Methodologies
  • Working Knowledge of Metrology and GD&T
  • Experience with Quality Assurance Techniques and Tools
  • Ability to Analyze Data and Generate Meaningful Insights
  • Excellent Problem-Solving and Decision-Making Skills
  • Strong Attention to Detail and Accuracy
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP Systems
  • Effective Communication Skills, Both Verbal and Written
  • Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certification in Quality Management
  • Experience with Quality Management Systems
Working Conditions:
  • Typically Works in a Manufacturing or Production Environment
  • May Require Occasional Travel to Customer or Supplier Sites
