Job Summary

Eurofins USA Clinical Diagnostics is seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Microbiology Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the microbiology department, ensuring smooth sample flow and testing, and providing technical expertise to staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of laboratory staff, ensuring compliance with GMPs, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance client satisfaction and company objectives.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to resolve client complaints and develop solutions.
  • Recommend new equipment and supplies to support department operations.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock of supplies and reagents.
  • Perform duties in compliance with regulatory and accrediting agencies.
  • Support the company's business philosophy, leadership values, and ethics.
  • Provide training and technical guidance to staff, promoting uniformity in policy implementation.
  • Perform technologist job duties as needed to support staffing levels.
  • Review and report patient results, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Compile and analyze department data, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • 4+ years of microbiology experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, biological science, or clinical laboratory science/medical technology program.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements in CAP/CLIA, FDA, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, adapt to change, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills, with knowledge of applicable regulations.
