Job SummaryThe Patient Service Representative/Scheduler plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinics. This role is responsible for scheduling appointments, verifying patient information, and coordinating with clinical staff to ensure seamless patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Fulfills patient care responsibilities, including checking schedules and organizing patient flow.
- Collects patient history forms and verifies patient information to ensure accurate medical records.
- Schedules appointments and radiological testing procedures based on patient needs.
- Announces scheduled patients to clinical staff and confirms appointments with patients.
- Collects and deposits insurance co-payments and deductibles according to specific protocols.
- Monitors patient waiting time and relays information to patients and family members.
- Ensures benefits and eligibility have been verified for all scheduled patients.
- Accurately enters charges and payment information for each service performed.
- Minimum of High School or GED required.
- Intermediate computer knowledge: Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Windows.
