About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Audit Project Manager to join our team at First Citizens Bank. As a key member of our Internal Audit department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reporting and Oversight
    • Assist with the preparation of periodic Board and management reports, ad hoc requests, and responses to material business events.
    • Collaborate with the Data Analytics team to identify opportunities to leverage greater use of storytelling with data analytics, innovation, and creativity to achieve operational efficiency, quality, accuracy, and integrity of reporting materials.
    • Support the issuance of all Internal Audit engagement type reports and memos, including formatting to ensure consistency, and maintain an issuance tracker to ensure timely updates.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Support relationships with internal data providers to ensure timely delivery and attestation of reporting content.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and the Data Analytics Team to drive continued focus on automation and reporting accuracy and completeness to ensure reporting integrity and to support and inform decisions and facilitate effective challenge.
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience in Public accounting or Bank internal auditing, or High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of experience in Public accounting, Bank internal auditing.
    • Preferred Skills/Experience:
      • Designation as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Security Auditor (CISA), or Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
      • Knowledge of Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Standards, Federal Reserve SR 13-1, and other applicable standards
      • Financial services/internal audit prior experience and knowledge of Board and Committee reporting
      • Proficient in PowerPoint and Tableau with the ability to create charts/graphs
      • Knowledge of technology, data visualization, and automation
      • Ability to build and continuously improve working relationships with internal audit peers, business line leaders, and partners
      • Proven adaptability to changing priorities
      • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
      • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills; ability to identify and resolve exceptions and to interpret data
      • Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously
      • Strong attention to detail
      • Ability to be flexible with working hours to meet reporting deadlines
