We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist Lead Technologist to join our team at Baptist Medical Center. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for providing state-of-the-art laboratory specimen testing, including phlebotomy, for patients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities- Under the direction of the Medical Directors and management staff, provide laboratory specimen testing and phlebotomy services.
- Perform advanced responsibilities as required, including completing established competencies for the position within a designated introductory period.
- Collaborate with other laboratory staff to ensure efficient and effective laboratory operations.
- Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with new technologies and techniques.
- Bachelor's Degree from an approved college or university and/or graduate of an accredited school of medical technology.
- 3 years of experience as a medical technologist in an acute care facility with increasing responsibilities.
- Registered with an approved certifying agency (ASCP, NCA, AMT, or CSMLS) within 12 months of hire.
- Licensure, as required by State.
