Job Summary

A highly skilled and experienced Cook is required to join our culinary team at Avantic Lodging Enterprises. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing a wide range of food items, including menu items and specials, to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and presentation, with excellent attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook food to order, using standardized recipes and techniques.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to deliver high-quality food and excellent customer service.
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and specials, in consultation with the Food Production Manager.
  • Monitor and control food costs, minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, and/or experience in a hotel or related field.
  • Food Handlers Certification (must comply with State requirements).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with exposure to heat, noise, and other hazards. The ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for long periods is also required.
