Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at McLaren USA. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare operating rooms, ensuring all equipment and supplies are properly disinfected, assembled, and in working order.
  • Ensure the preparation and maintenance of the sterile field in the operating room.
  • Provide supportive care during the pre-operative phase.
  • Prepare patients' skin for surgery, move and position patients in the operating room, and monitor vital signs and observe status.
  • Perform scrub functions, including passing sterile surgical equipment to surgeons, cutting sutures, tracking items used, performing instrument counts, collecting and labeling specimens taken, and helping dress patients' wounds.
  • Transport patients after procedures.
  • Ensure operating rooms are clean, sterile, and stocked prior to the next procedure.
  • Perform clerical duties, such as ordering supplies, maintaining logs, pulling up and/or entering patient information, doing inventory, and supporting administrative and clerical staff as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited surgical technology training program.
  • Certification as a surgical technologist from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
  • One month of job-related experience and/or training.
  • BLS certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience in a medical setting.
