Job Title: Finishing Production Associate

At Adornus, we are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finishing Production Associate to join our team. As a key member of our Finishing Department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the production and efficiency of our line meet operational standards.

Job Summary:

The Finishing Production Associate is responsible for providing support to the Finishing Department, ensuring the production and efficiency of the line meet operational standards. This role requires a strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and understand daily production schedules to optimize order flow for the shift
  • Learn and gain a clear understanding of the finishing department's operations
  • Manually load/unload and store material
  • Check product quality upon unloading to detect defects or deviations from standards; report defective materials or questionable conditions to the Team Lead
  • Assist with cleaning during system color change
  • Minimize waste of raw materials and work in a clean and tidy manner
  • Perform daily cleaning on finishing machine, spray guns, conveyor, and booth area
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance on finishing equipment at established frequency; follow all defined SOP's; drive continuous improvement
  • Follow 6S process: Safety, Sort, Set, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain by participating in daily housekeeping activities indicative of a safe and well-organized work environment
  • Job rotation and relief of other team members
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Company policies, and Safety Guidelines; wear required PPE (safety glasses, steel toe shoes, and hearing protection)
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of Finishing Process
  • Demonstrated experience to safely perform daily routine equipment cleaning
  • Ability to perform well under pressure while multitasking in a fast-paced, but organized manner, with strong attention to detail to ensure task is completed efficiently, to the correct standard, and in the necessary time frame
  • Physical stamina and strength with ability to walk and stand continuously throughout the shift
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work and communicate well with others
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment
  • Safety and OSHA training required (will train)

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee is occasionally required to balance, climb, crawl, crouch, kneel, sit, or stoop.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups employees of organization. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
