ER Physician Position Available

At GuideWell Emergency Doctors, we offer a unique opportunity for board-certified ER physicians to practice autonomously in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment. Our free-standing outpatient facilities provide high-quality healthcare to every patient, yielding lower ER visits, hospital admissions, and costs.
Responsibilities- Work independently in a dynamic environment, making quality medical decisions and accurately treating patients of all ages with mild to moderate medical complaints.
- Perform comprehensive physical exams, interpret diagnostic testing results, and generate effective treatment plans.
- Write prescriptions, perform typical Emergency Room procedures, and arrange follow-up care as needed.
- Act as a resource for mid-level providers, providing quality patient care while maintaining a door-to-provider time of less than 30 minutes.
- Support the meeting of facility-specific metrics, utilizing critical thinking and in-house protocols to avoid unnecessary admissions.
- Know and practice organizational values, utilizing organizational software to reference patient records and protocols.
- Support the Facility Leader and Medical Director by being a positive team player.
- Five or more years of recent experience working in an Emergency Room setting.
- State MD or DO license, Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (ABEM, AOBEM), and Active DEA License.
- Clear and active FL license, successfully credentialed within each facility, and able to pass a Level 2 background screen and drug test.
- Able to perform duties expected for an active role in a busy medical environment, including standing, walking, lifting, and legibly writing English.
- Job Type: Temporary, Contract

- License/Certification: ABEM or AOBEM certification (Required), DEA Certification (Required), Florida MD/DO license (Required)
