Position Overview

Timmons Group is in search of a Civil Project Manager/Senior Civil Project Manager - Traffic Analysis to enhance our Traffic Group.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Overseeing the effective management of designated projects while fostering robust client relationships.
  • Engaging in marketing and business development, ensuring technical excellence, profitability, adherence to schedules, coordination of project personnel, client communications, negotiating project scopes and fees, billing, and supporting fee collection efforts as necessary.
  • Maintaining exceptional relationships with clients and promoting Timmons Group services beyond direct professional expertise, with ongoing communication with the Office Manager and Transportation Group Leader being crucial.
  • Managing multiple mid-sized projects, several smaller projects, or a single larger project concurrently.

Qualifications of an ideal candidate include:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, along with relevant work experience.
  • Preferred professional registration (P.E., PTOE, etc.) in states where Timmons Group operates.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in roadway design, traffic, and transportation engineering, particularly with projects for governmental agencies.
  • A comprehensive understanding of project accounting and the ability to manage schedules and budgets for multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in marketing and supervising the technical work of others.
  • Proficiency in technical and office support software necessary for the role, including MicroStation and traffic analysis software (e.g., Synchro, SimTraffic, Trans Modeler, VISSIM).
  • A professional demeanor towards clients and internal teams.
  • Effective communication skills for daily task completion.
  • A commitment to fostering professional relationships and assisting colleagues in meeting critical deadlines.
