Job Summary

ARMStrong Receivable Management, a leading provider of debt recovery and financial solutions, is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our technical support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our computer systems, providing technical assistance to end-users, and resolving technical issues in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hardware and Software Procurement: Identify and procure the necessary hardware and software to meet user requirements.
  • Ticket Tracking and Response: Monitor our ticket tracking system and respond to incoming requests for help via all supported methods, during all assigned time periods, in accordance with company policies and departmental procedures.
  • Hardware Installation and Software Loading: Install hardware and peripheral components, such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives, on users' premises. Load appropriate software packages, including operating systems, networking components, and office applications.
  • Customization and Adaptation: Assist in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet users' requirements.
  • Technical Support: Provide telephone, in-person, and online support to end-users. Provide updates, status, and completion information to manager and/or users, via voice mail, e-mail, or in-person communication.
  • New User Setup: Set up new users, including AD accounts, M365, workstation builds, printer support, and access issues.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot issues pertaining to hardware, access, software, or network problems.
  • Vendor Relationship Management: Assist in all vendor relationship management tasks.
  • Azure Systems Maintenance: Maintain Azure systems and perform routine maintenance, such as patching.
  • Internet Security: Ensure that internet security software is updated and running properly on all endpoints.
  • Asset Management: Primarily responsible for our asset management program.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2-5 years of experience as an IT support specialist.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networks. Strong understanding of Microsoft operating systems, Active Directory, Office 365, and Telephony systems.
  • Skills: Ability to determine IT needs and train end-users. Proficiency in IT helpdesk software. Experience in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Certifications: Current CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ certification (Preferred). Associates Degree in Computer Science or related field (Preferred).
