Material Planner

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Planner to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. As a Material Planner, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our supply chain processes, ensuring the smooth and cost-effective flow of our products from suppliers to customers.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement effective material planning strategies to ensure the availability of materials and products, and to meet customer demands.
- Manage and maintain purchase orders (POs), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with company standards and procedures.
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate prices, establish delivery schedules, and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Utilize Microsoft Suite to maintain accurate records of inventory levels, purchase orders, and supplier information.
- Monitor and analyze supply chain performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
- Work closely with other departments, such as production and sales, to forecast demand and ensure the availability of products.
- Adhere to and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all supply chain processes.
- Manage and optimize inventory levels to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Participate in regular meetings with management to discuss supply chain performance, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in material planning, inventory management, or a similar role in the Manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices, including purchase orders (POs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills, with a proven ability to work effectively with suppliers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritize workload effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
- Certification in Supply Chain Management or a related field would be considered an asset.
