Financial Planning Specialist

eVAC Magnetics LLC, a member of VAC Group, is currently seeking a Financial Analyst. This position will support finance, controlling, and business reporting for eVAC Magnetics LLC. As part of the Finance team, this role will be key in developing and implementing financial policies and procedures for our new North American facility in Sumter, SC. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience and proven accomplishments in controlling, financial analysis, financial reporting, inventory control, and costing, as well as general ledger and month-end accounting. Experience with SAP and working in an international organization are preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
Controlling:
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process (journal entries, account reconciliations).
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial statements (balance sheet, profit & loss, cash flow) in accordance with GAAP and IFRS.
- Lead annual budget process and periodic forecasting process.
- Create and monitor company policies and internal controls and safeguard company assets.
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, cash movements).
- Key contact with outside auditors, tax authorities, and insurance companies.
Reporting:
- Provide financial reporting and analysis to guide decision making. Variance analysis and cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain project accounting status and reporting.
- In conjunction with Operations, develop and maintain effective operational scorecards, KPIs, and dashboards.
- Ad-hoc reporting as necessary to support Operations and Manufacturing.
Material Management:
- Establish procedures for the effective control of inventory (annual inventories, periodic cycle counts).
- Maintain accurate inventory valuation and costing.
- Work with Purchasing to establish and maintain optimal inventory levels.
- Support the control of material receipts and shipments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience as an Accountant, Financial Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory management.
- Experience with large ERP systems. SAP preferred.
- Experience with business intelligence and structured data queries.
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- CPA/CMA designation.
- Experience working in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Experience working in a multinational organization.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Fluent English. German beneficial but not required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No formal supervisory responsibilities.
