We are seeking a skilled and highly efficient Senior DevOps Engineer to enhance our development and support initiatives. This role involves the continuous improvement and maintenance of the statewide MDHS system, incorporating the latest technologies for seamless integration with various platforms and automating existing processes.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in designing, configuring, and managing both public and private cloud infrastructures.
  • Expertise in Cloud Computing, Build and Release processes, DevOps practices, and Linux Administration.
  • Proficient in GIT for synchronization with the chef-repo, managing it as source code.
  • Ability to provide in-depth knowledge on system architectures.
  • Familiarity with Version Control tools such as Subversion and Git, including branching, merging strategies, and migrating projects to GitHub Enterprise.
  • Capability to analyze system specifications and translate requirements into technical strategies for architecting On-Premises infrastructure.
  • Experience in implementing and managing Atlassian tools like JIRA, Confluence, and Jira Service Desk.
  • Proficient in training end users on software applications.
  • Ability to recommend enhancements to systems and processes.
  • Experience across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and TDD, along with implementing various design patterns.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficient presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a team to achieve project goals and resolve technical challenges.

  • Experience with SCRUM and iterative methodologies.
  • Familiarity with Jira Software.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in transitioning outdated technologies to modern, cutting-edge solutions.
