Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Burn Unit team at Research Medical Center. As a Burn Unit Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to individuals who have suffered severe burns.

About the Role

The Burn Unit Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient condition, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will also be responsible for administering medications, monitoring patient responses, and providing education to patients and families.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient condition during admission and throughout their stay, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses to treatment
  • Provide education to patients and families on wound care, pain management, and other relevant topics
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 60 months of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification within 1 year of employment start date
  • Registered Nurse (RN) diploma
