We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Burn ICU team at Research Medical Center, a 585+ bed hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.

As a Burn ICU Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with a small, cohesive staff focused on quality patient care and outcomes.

You will assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.

Engage in evidence-based best practices that enhance the patient experience, including SAFETY rounding, communication fundamentals/AIDET, Teach-Back, Narrating Care, etc.

Ensure patients, physicians, and colleagues have a clear understanding of all communications, and escalate care concerns appropriately.

Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.

Burn care nursing is not for the faint of heart.

Burn care nurses play a critical role in all phases of a burn victim's treatment, from the urgent moments of initial intake through the often-prolonged recovery period.

Our specialty care areas include a Chest Pain Center, Level I Trauma Center, Breast Care Center, Cardiovascular Rehabilitation Programs, and Primary Stroke Center.

We are one of 10 HCA Midwest Health hospitals in Kansas City and surrounding areas.

Research Psychiatric Center is a 95+ bed facility.
