**Key Responsibilities:**

* Provide occupational therapy services to residents, including assessment, treatment, and education
* Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each resident
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of resident progress and treatment plans

**Requirements:**

* Successful completion of the academic requirements of an educational program in occupational therapy recognized by the Board of Occupational Therapy Practice
* Must be licensed (or eligible for licensure) to practice as an occupational therapist in the state of Florida
* Prior experience in occupational therapy
* Member of state and national American Occupational Therapy Association
* Professional attitude and appearance
* Proficient administrative and public relations skills
* Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, materials and equipment used in occupational therapy
* Thorough knowledge of the possible hazards to patients during treatment and necessary precautionary and remedial measures
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and to obtain their cooperation in the treatment prescribed
* Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with the medical staff and other personnel
* Ability to understand, interpret, and adopt a physician's written or oral directions and to recommend treatment programs and outline expected benefits regarding occupational therapy
* Demonstrate emotional stability in order to cope with the demands of both patients and employees
* Must maintain patient and employee confidentiality
* Knowledge of Medicare and third party reimbursement, preferred
