We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to support the Extremity Trauma & Amputation Center of Excellence (EACE) at the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in designing, developing, executing, and clinical research protocols.
- Conduct laboratory research with devices such as force platforms, motion capture cameras, instrumented treadmills, electromyography, respirometry, and wearable technologies.
- Educate prospective participants about research protocol(s), validate eligibility to participate, and evaluate commitment.
- Assist with the preparation of data for presentations at scientific meetings and/or publication in scientific journals.
- PhD degree in an engineering discipline or closely related field.
- Research experience with prosthetic and orthotics devices, human movement, wearable technology, and/or modeling & simulation.
This position will take place primarily in a laboratory setting.
Education and Experience- Doctoral degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering (or a related field).
- Minimum of 0-5 years experience required.
