Court Deputy

Join the Riverside County Sheriff's Office as a Court Deputy and play a vital role in maintaining security and order in the Superior Courts of Riverside County.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain security in Superior Court and enforce court regulations
• Respond to requests from judges and commissioners for assistance
• Take charge of jurors during deliberations and ensure legal procedures are followed
• Take defendants into custody and arrange for transportation to and from the courtroom and detention facility
• Obtain and deliver legal papers, books, and documents

Requirements:

• Graduation from high school or equivalent
• Possession of a California Driver's License
• Possession of a State of California Peace Officers Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.) Basic, Intermediate or Advanced Certificate
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound judgments in emergency situations
