Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Actalent. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients and preparing them for laboratory testing. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples from patients using a variety of techniques, including venipuncture and capillary puncture
• Prepare blood samples for laboratory testing, including labeling, centrifuging, and storing
• Maintain accurate records of patient information and laboratory results
• Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently
• Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure smooth operation of the laboratory
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest laboratory techniques and technologies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
• At least 6 months of experience in a clinical laboratory setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with laboratory information systems
• Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) preferred
